Hills are no problem for me

Rouken Glen 10K is one I would recommend for hills, it is uphill and downhill. I think the only flat bit was along the finishing straight in the park

Hi All

Pobel, I've have ran this the last two years.

For the first 2.5K the runners go along the esplanade, then head out towards Silverknowles where there is a steady incline for about 3 or 400 metres, then about 6 or 7 Km there is a steady downhill stretch then for the last 2.5K you head back along the esplanade and there is one last hill when you head into the finishing straight which is the car park of Scottish Gas.

It can be a wee bit windy along the seafront, but to answer your question

It should be good for a first 10K, there about 700 runners.

I think there may be one that fits that date here in Glasgow, the Allan Scally Memorial Road Relays, this is a 4.8 Mile circuit in the Bailieston are of Glasgow.

Adam the fixture dates have not been updated yet.

Later on if you visit Scottish Athletics (www.saf.org.uk) you will get a fixture list. There are about six relay races from end of september to the start of November.

As for the Allan Scally Relays try visiting www.shettlestonharriers.org.uk
