Cheers all thank you for the advice, I have not had the chance to go and see a specialist or doctor yet but will do shortly, the pain has got no better or no worse since monday, still hurts at the back of the knee on the outside when I put pressure on it, even when walking.
Real Madaras that would be great if you could give me the number for that guy as I live in Woodford - so either you knew that or its a big coincidence..... could you post it on here or email it to c.norris@montreal.co.uk
Thanks again all. |

Hi all,
I find injury really hard to describe, but here goes. I ran FLM this year, I have only been running since january, I rested for a couple of weeks and since then I have been running a couple of times a week, about 5 miles each time.
Last night I developed a pain in my right knee which shoots at me when I put weight on it. it is at the back of the knee towards the outside.
I am wondering if my trainers may be worn out, although I am not sure if that can be the case as I have had them for about 12 weeks and even in the lead up to the FLM I was never running more than 25 miles a week, then probably 40 miles in the 3 weeks since I started running again, therefore I reckon I have done about 190-200 miles in the trainers. I weigh about 13 stone..... is it likely that is what it is? as I dont want to fork out on trainers for the sake of it.....
What else could it be?
Any help would be appreciated? |

So I ran the FLM 2003 and it was great. The longest I had run before the marathon was 20 miles and it felt nothing like as hard as the day itself, I went back to the gym last week a couple of times and yesterday had a 3 mile run.... I feel so tired today and I am wondering if I should still be resting, is it just the excercise I did yesterday that has made me tired or is it still the marathon day exertion which is making me feel so tired.????
