Well finished in 1hr 59 mins and 50 secs!! Delighted to just scrape the 2 hour mark!! Haggis, you were about 50m ahead of me for the second half of the run, but I didn't have the energy to shout or catch up and say hello!!!
Found the course quite hard, think it was my general sense of direction which meant I felt like I had been in the same place about 5 times (esp those little underpass bits!)
Thought the organisation was excellent, good bus service from the big parking bit great marshalls as well.
Bit of a rest now til the glasgow half in sept so enjoyed a good few beers last night and suffering this morning!!
Yep Gillian, just about ready for the half! Did the 10k at vale of leven on sunday and managed just under 54mins, which was better than I thought after the marathon, but legs did feel like lead the whole way round.
Drobton - I'm aiming for around that time too, so look out for 932 and give us a wave!!
Are you fully recovered from the marathon now Gillian? I still have an annoying pain in my left thigh, was planning on running a 10k at Loch Lomond Shores on sun, but might give it a miss in the hope that it is better for the half next week!! Should have had that ice bath......
