This can be for many reasons; accidents, illness, injury...
But is rarely reported unless it is one of the Equine Superstars reported in the news.
On the racecourses the figure is 0.02% fatalaties per year with something like 90,000 horses in training in the UK and Ireland.
However they don't record the horses that are killed or die while training at home. This can be
