(er hi) just passin thru on account of Sassie - pardon me for interfering but I gotta say the Grapes is the most minging pub in manchester - Vera's got pictures on the wall of her shaking hands with the pope and tony blair and all - but her bogs are disgusting - the filthy cow!

For a relaxedish "pub" (as opposed to "bar") meet up on a sat night thats not too bangin for a large group I would maybe suggest The Crown on Moseley Street - open late air cond not-too loud music in background - not the best pub in world - a bit officy - but suitable for that purpose

otherwise Castle On Oldham Street - rough and ready - possibly too small - Kings Arms Bloom Street bohemian pub with good beer - not a huge amount of tables - Brown Cow oposite Piccadilly - Trad Boozer can be a bit "dead" on a Saturday - Hare and Hounds Shudehill between Victoria and Piccadilly - trad-minging depending on one's perspective

anyway sorry for interfering - have a nice night and see you in another couple of years!
