Hi All, Can anyone recommend a decent treadmill for a first time buy? Have decided to stop the gym for awhile in favour of outdoor type things, white water raftin( can't wait), riding, mushing, and anything else that you can fall off whilst doing...all my ( probably strange) idea of fun... So , whilst still running, I would love a treadmill for use when my children in bed and I can't go out. Have looked on internet, seen various offers, but still don't know which ones are any good. thanks for any help, CM

well I a softie, always take (nice) dogs back home / ask where they live etc, but think it irresponsible if folk always have dog out, unfair on dog and accident hazard etc.. but have been chased by two rotweillers recently whilst running with children and a dog, girls were in tears and my dog nearly pulled me on my face trying to reach them to play (so not handy going backwards in this predicament) think owners do it on purpose to stop people going past - v. rural country hill type thing. Luckily dogs stop 2 fields past their house. Anyone else got similar occurances? And does anyone know what to do do stop it?? Thanks cm

I second lj, and just do as your body tells you, run - walk and the progam, tailor it to your own needs Deff take slow to start with (aka LJ, no point repeating)

All sound stuff, just enjoy and good luck!

well done you all! I always giving up the booze, then just have a couple and feel fed up about it. think you all doing great, my main problem is boredom, so need to find something else to do(not that i haven't got plenty studyin or somethin) but am a terrible sleeper (hence the time of this message ) Tried the decorating but am hopeless - any tips Egglett! - my dogs getting sick of getting groomed 24/7! Anybody know any alchi-free drinks that taste okidoki and aren't sweet, except for grapefruit juice and ami (my current 'gulping by the gallon' juices?

Ta all, cm

this probably daft, and sort of cheating, but it works for me - i run with a dog and get him to go faster when I can't do it myself. still feel it afterwards and know doing good so maybe can do it without the dog after awhile. silly, but it does help ( and for me quite alot!) good luck with your running, cm
