Husband is threatening me with Macclesfield Half in September, so I guess it might be time to drag out my runners again.
Lyrics: Yes What: 7.25 mile walk up Kinder Scout and down the Downfall Why: Turning 40 this year, OH and I decided we'll do the three peaks challenge, one on his birthday, one on mine and one in between... 2 weeks to go to the first one.
Safe travels LMH, shall try and pop in a bit over the next few weeks while I get back into it. It's about time.
I'm in the Ballot! Hi guys, finger crossed all round. I guess I'd better get some running going again, not run for 18 months and gained a couple of stone in the meantime... starting again with C25K this week... better get booked in for a 10K for the Summer I think...
What: not sure, want to squeeze an extra session in, will see if I have time Why: trying to get back into it.
Dibs: Extra towel in transition to stand on while you sort yourself out, that way by the time you come to put your shoes on your feet will be almost dry. As LMH said, you won't get a fast transition if you try and put an extra top on in transition, if you do a zip up top is the easiest option. Don't rush transition and make mistakes, they will come back to bite you, make sure you are comfy, no underwear riding up, nothing likely to rub, shoes on right if you're starting with your shoes on the floor not on the bike...
LM.H - do you ever take a moment to reflect on how far you have come? You're an inspiration. If anyone can do it you can. I got *that* close to sub 2hrs before I had my 3rd little girl, I'm hoping to get back there next year some time, but sub 90 mins, wow.
