Podds, didn't realise you'd gone to uni in Edinburgh! Did you live out in Pollock Halls? It's a brilliant city to live in, I loved it. And I hope you manage to get the Italian done without being found out by the Head ---although your 'frank and friendly' next week will certainly put right any mistaken ideas he might get!
Ah yes Pollock Halls - indeed I did Chuggy - catered in year 1 and self catering in year 2 (the year I had an unpleasant encounter with a naked rabbit in the fridge ) - year 3 I was in a new build flat down near the Sports Hall and then in my final year an old flat just off The Meadows Happy Days
Coco; The 4 scholastic years were at school - the drunken ones at uni !!
You win Edinburgh top trumps DL..........thankfully you're old enough not to be the daughter of anyone I was there with so I'm safe from realising you might be a "surrogate niece"!!
Roll on FC5 - do you know any details yet? FCs 1 - 4 certainly haven't lacked variety to date......
I am bored - off to Italian in 15 mins and can't settle to do anything useful in the meantime.........
Chance Head will drop in on a learning walk with Head of a local OFSTED slammed school.....given that next week I'll be telling her I don't have enough time to do my job not sure how it will go down to find me in Italian.........but I think I've got a good defence
I can understand that Podds - I would have thought I would be the same - I hate the idea of taking medication. But I hated the sweating thing so much I just wanted to be myself again. It was embarrasing at work and vile at night, if I can delay it for a while I will
Yep - I know what you mean re the flushes and sweats.....luckily most of the staff at work are laydeez and many of us are at "that age" so it's just a standing joke that one or another of us keeps rushing outside to try and cool down and let the wind / temperature wick the sweat away
And as for the night stuff - well I was used to waking up in a sweat anyway due to going to bed solo then waking later to 1 bloke and a couple of dogs all giving off body heat!!
See you young'uns what you've got coming?
Edinburgh? 4 scholastic years and 4 drunken and debauched uni years happily spent there
Entering the HRT debate - I am most decidedly not going down that route!
I try to avoid medications as much as humanely possible, I have a calcium rich diet, I am active and I do weight bearing exercise...........and the rest of it I can live with (impractical and unpleasant as it occasionally can be!!)
I prefer to be in touch with my body's natural state (which drives my fizz mad as he would prefer me on some meds currently!! )
(((Sluggie and SM))) - I'm not surprised you're knackered - what makes perfect sense to SM requires no little interpreting on your part!
