Morning all! Not sure if this thread is still active but I'm a frequent ultra marathon runner and have just put on a freestyle libretto thingy. I would be interested in any views/stories/advice about using it during events? I've used a dexcom cgm before which was brilliant but was very expensive and had an awkward tendency to fall out
For what its worth, I ran them both and enjoyed them both too. Bottom line for me is that however I look at it RW this year was badly organised, and very poor value for money.previous years have been well organised and poor value for money, but as I emailed fat feet (still no response) they are in danger of ruining a lovely little marathon by getting the basics wrong. Ldwa organise 26 mile challenge walks that you can do as a trail run for 7 quid! Nuff said. Fat feet ? Your turn to comment next...
Really looking forwards to this, my 20th this year! Cant help but think about the comparison with NYM. We will have an enjoyable canter round a beautiful bit of English countryside, NY would be marathoners will be deeply frustated and upset, as NYers pick themselves and their city back up. I know where Id rather be!!!
Top drawer day as my mum would say. Weather was fine, course was challenging but not ridiculous. Jonathan edwards was a class act, route was perfectly marked, marshalls were plentiful and pleasant. Dont change a thing for next year please !
Really looking forward to this, it cant be as rainy as this years Milton Keynes Marathon was, nor as hilly as Malvern Midsummer madness was a couple of weeks ago. and there will be an incentive to gallop round more briskly than usual to watch Murray despatch that Federer chappie in straight sets !
