Really enjoyed this one - the mud was fun - first time I've had to clean my trainers. The Bramhall Ladies Running Group had quite a few discussions that night over some glasses of wine as to the best technique for running downhill in mud. We decided that we must watch Running Bob at the parkrun in the winter to pick up some tips.
Well done Chris for a fantastic first event - we'll definitely be entering again next year. The organisation was great, the goody bag top notch and the atmosphere really friendly. The immediate results on the screen in the tent was a brilliant touch, as was the abundance of bananas !
Thanks to all the marshalls - they were all encouraging and cheerful - and that really does help.
I hope that you raised lots of cash for Stepping Hill !
I've looked up my race number and, although the time seems OK , I'm a man ! Looks like it's down as the original owner of the number. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this rectified. I'm only bothered as it was the first time I've ever done a 10k in under 1 hour.
But the race was fab - the organisation was wonderful. Thanks to everyone, especially the marshalls who must have been freezing. Looking forward to the next one !!
My times over the last few years have been getting worse and I did achieve a PW last year - well over 2.35 and there was no problem apart from no T-shirts....but one was delivered a month later with the paperweight memento. There are always lots of friendly people plodding along towards the rear. The severity of the time limit does give the wrong impression but it's not a fancy dress run. I love it !
I am in a group consisting of 20 friends who organise a couple of group runs every week - approx 5-8 ladies running per session.
Does anyone know/think that we should take out any insurance in case of accidents etc. We are not an official group, just friends that have met through school/parkrun although we do call ourselves the Bramhall Ladies Running Group.
