Cougie
You were in a different race to me then because I could not run sub-9 minute miles due to the congestion. I would have had to have run alot further than 26.2 miles to keep to the pace I had planned.
The higher the pen number the further you are back, which means if you are faster than the people in front, you are dodging continually.

I think the staged starts might have to happen if they ever make the race any bigger.
Yes there were people walking early and being sick after 1 mile. Even if I had managed to finish under 4 I would have still been knackered. I have to admit that I ran myself into the ground and could hardly walk after the race for hours.

Well after 2 days of not thinking about running I have finally visited the RW site.
I ran 4.07 in my first London (I predicted 4 on the entry) and started in the Red area in pen 6. I ran the first 1/2 in 2.07 and the second in 2 hours. I have to admit to being completely frustrated by the congestion and for 18-19 miles was just dodging people and being held up. As a result I was running 9 1/2 minutes miles or worse.
With hindsight I should have predicted 3.30 and would have probably got under 4 hours. What are peoples views on this?? Mind you I was finished for the last 4 miles.
