sorry Stuart - I'm still a bit confused...find I need to see the sheet and have a play around to be able to know what you mean.
I would still though, suggest a pivot table, as then you can have this on a seperate sheet within the workbook, manipulate it as many times as you like to view what you want to show your team but still keep your data un-tampered with...
