Hi all - Just popping in to say good luck to Padams - hope it all goes to plan mate and you hit those targets!

Anyway, best get out of here - I'm an Ultra runner these days - no right to be in a marathon thread

CW - Not very thin at the moment I'm afraid -  haven't run since mile 6 of VLM and we all know what happens when I can't run!

Thanks for all the commiserations all.

For those that didn't see it yesterday - here is my 'live" blog from road side as I dropped out

http://www.steveway.co.uk/?p=999

Interestingly - people obviously prefer a bit of drama to boring old success - my blog before yesterday had a maximum daily hit count of around 1100 which was after VLM2011. Yesterday it was over 2500!

The quad issue which obviously started because of my compromised stride from the glute ended up very swollen last night and is still quite painful this morning so god knows what would have happened if I had tried to run more than 3 miles at MP with it.

Glute itself is no worse than before the race so I'm guessing a week of rest and I may be back running - got a physio session booked on Thursday.

Even though my day obviously didn't go to plan, it was made a hell of a lot easier being able to enjoy the successes (and failures!) of all my friends from here and the club. Obvously, the pub experience wasn't quite as good for me compared to previous years but a great day out all the same.

..... I WAS SHIT - but I'll back

I wouldn't look right now, I'm on the loo

I'm running but not 100% confident I should be

Will be at the pub whether I finish after 6.2 or 26.2 so see you all there!

LD - don't you have field 2 as CURRENT Lap pace to show you how you are doing in the current mile, otherwise it is just an inaccurate version of field 3?
