Hi thanks for your advice - I've booked the West Ham football ground hotel - which doesn't look too far away from the start. It has free parking and is only £60 per night for two of us - and if one of my kids want to come along to support - it will only cost an extra £10. I hope it ends up being ok - has anyone else ever used this hotel?
Thanks for you kind offers - I've contacted some of you directly - Johnny - do you have an email - don't worry - I'm a very slow runner too - even though I'm an ex fitness instructor - am quite good at other disciplines - just rubbish at running - give me a spinning bike or a few weights, and I'm as happy as larry!!! I'll be up for slow 10 milers after Crimbo when I'm back from snowboarding = as for 18 miles - that might be nearer to March!!!
I'm planning to run a 4.30 - give or take 15 mins either side (I think!!) for the FLM - as a first timer I am playing it all by ear a bit - and taking on board every bit of advice I can get my hands on - are there any Coventry/Kenilworth based runners out there who I could pair up with on the odd long training run?
Am doing the FLM for the first time - also first time marathon!! Can anyone advise on which hotels/where to stay and how soon you need to book it. I live 100 miles away and don't want to have to travel down both days - so would rather sort it sooner than later incase hotels get booked up early.
