Hi Lucy. Sorry to disappear from CP7. Whilst walking up to meet Javed around 13:00 Friday I stood on a tree branch and cracked my ankle. Walked back thinking nothing of it but  it got worse and worse. Left CP7 at around 5 PM Friday for Banbury A&E. Hairy drive. Now in plaster looking at 6 weeks with broken ankle. And I was only walking!

Hi Poacher

Very well done indeed. I walked the last 75 miles - I'll never forget it and getting to LV. Well done to all that finished and many commiserations to those who didn't. No doubt they'll back next year - I definitely will, either running or marshalling. It was quite a thing to marshall at GJA - to see Jon, Mimi and Paddy come in and then to be there when Alex came in.

I gave the young guy a lift to Milton Keynes station from Weedon, along with Sophie (who is star, having retired with a nasty knee injury, then went on to GJA to support and wait for her Dad) and Anthony Taylor who was supporting at Weedon.

The young guy was shaking a bit so I warmed him up in the car. I asked about his parents but he was a bit reluctant to speak on that one   Fortunately Anthony was there to assist him into London

Having got to know a number of the runners through organising their bags and (without exception) receiving their gratitude (and sometimes entertainment) at the CPs, it's great to see that they finished, and also sad to see those who had to withdraw. Quite a weekend. KJ

How about 'what hotels do they stay in on the way?'

Great to meet you Lurker.

I'm so pleased Alex got to 120, inspirational stuff

Number 25 the last man at around 110 miles was great fun - I hope he made it

Poacher -  think I recognise you - a fantastic result, well done

I took the young lad to the station - I think he'd had earache to match his feet...
