Hi all,

I'm just back from Spain having suddenly flown over for mother-in-law's funeral. Managed one very hilly run whilst over there but as you can appreciate had other priorities, lovely weather there for running though. Just about to go out for a slow 8 miler or so, the weather is gorgeous here.

BR - Sorry the race didn't go to plan. I'd kill for your times though

NE - Well done on the pb. Pleased to see someone else starts too fast!

Gym for me today for the same reasons as Friday - can't get any time in the light, dangerous running around unlit country lanes, get bored running around same route in nearby village which has street lighting.

Mike - You sounded disappointed with your time yesterday which was a pb! Well done!

MM - Well done, that sounds like a great effort.

Paul l - Well done 2U2, Nice to get a pb & break 1.50

Hilly - Sounds as though you did the right thing missing GRIM. I find racing is so different from a relaxed run, even though I don't cover the distances you do.

Speedie - Enjoyed your report of another good effort.

Snail - I agree with what was said earlier in that it could just be that you are pretty fit.

As for me, a family crisis has disrupted the w-e's plans but had a good session at the gym yesterday and a plodding sort of 8m or so today taking care of my knee. Felt a bit sore afterwards but ok. The family crisis means I'll be out of the country from early Wed & have had to restructure work so don't know what running I'll do next week. At least the weather should be a bit bettter in spain.

Bod - I can empathise with your dilemmas & experience similar conflicts. Running sounds as important to you as it is to me so i just hope you work it out, can't offer any magic answer i'm afraid.

Stickless - Pleased to see you're back on form.

BR - Good choice this morning. One I actually knew! I thought that music era was great.

Looks like gym for me today as i can't get out until it's dark & live in the middle of nowhere so with no street lighting it's dangerous to run on the roads (fell &broke my hand last year so am wary). Could drive to nearest village but have run round that so many times it gets boring. Could do with some cross training anyway in this ongoing battle against injury.

Well done Hilly, and I'm a bit jealous! Still, I've got to trust that i'll see the back of this damn injury in the end if i'm sensible. Then... who knows what
