I am also a slow fun runner - I'm targetting sub 60 mins for 10K - and this will be my first run of the year. I haven't done the event befoe but I know the area and it's really lovely so looking forward to it.

Thank you Miss Delia! together we'll crack ploddings' negative spirit and have her bouncing for joy come the sight of summer!!

Perhaps if we ask nicely the organisers will arrange for some ice cubes for the water stations which we can pop down our shorts, i guarentee that'll make me run faster!!!

Sorry plodding, 5.16 it is,(page 2) - i feel gently chastised.

will go for run now with tail between legs in the manner of a guilty puppy.

Besides, i have every faith you'll get a PB here-
there we are, have now re-asserted positive attitude and will go for run with tail wagging!!

Please excuse positive e-mail, have just finished todays run and on a post run high, it'll wear off soon!

Am all excited now, have set mind on this for first marathon and have set in motion a cunning plan to ensure i get round, have told everyone i know i'm going to do it and work are already threatening running a book as to whether i'll finish- evidently collapsing in a dribbling heap is an early favourite!!

Commitment by peer pressure- can't beat it!!
