Have been reading this thread for several months now!! too scared too commit too it but hey her goes.
May I join your elite crew
my times so far are Brass monkey 2005 --1.21.33 I was in the group that you tagged onto Moneque, sorry if I have spelt your name wrong. Last year I completed the London Marathon in 3.21 but had to walk ,hobble the last 5 miles with a broken foot. I stood on a bottle top at 21 miles and felt a twang, it was a tad painfull too say the least. I am following the advanced mathoner schedule and it seems to be working for me.
Regards
G.

No offence taken FL. I did knock 31 mins off my previous P.b in this years marathon, so I have acheived some goals for this year. It has been an inspriration to read all your replys and it just shows what a fantastic bunch of people and part of the (running family) you all are.
If you have has a c**p year lets move on.
If you have had a good year lets drag it into next year.
Wishing you ALL a very happy and healthy 2005 and whatever your aims are may they come true.
Yours G.

Fell runner.
You feel I can not achieve my targets that I set at the begining.
Please note that when I set my targets at the begining of 2004 I had only been running a touch over 12months. I completed London this year in 3.21 having walked the last 4.5 miles with a broken bone in my foot. I can not see why I should not aim to better goals, I have already picked my training to over 60 miles per week so time will tell.
