Haven't ran yet in 2013. A short warm up on NYD, where I realised I couldn't do ROTG was my last attempt. Pulled up in Ecos Parkrun on 29th December as felt a pop in my piriformis and resting until either Saturday or Monday. On the plus side I have lost a lot of weight over the last month. I am now nearly at the same weight as I was for my debut marathon in 2006. If the injury clears up and training goes well, Belfast Marathon might still be an option.

Hope everyone elses injuries clear up and those training hard reap the benefits when their next big race comes around.

Mags, you are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work and, who knows, maybe you will get back running soon.

Likewise No Pain. Glad you introduced yourself and that you enjoyed our Santa Run and food afterwards.

Still here TG. Taking things a bit easier for a few weeks and then plan to do Antrim XC on 12th January. Left hamstring (piriformis) giving trouble so no ROTG fro me as the hills  would be too much. After that a half marathon training schedule and see how I can do in Larne.

Well done Ricky. Keep up the good work. Plenty on here who appreciate and understand the buzz you get from it.

Sitting in my office looking out at the bright sunshine and blue sky, knowing that I won't be able to get out for a run until after work and that by then it will be dark and miserable, meaning that i have to stick to footpaths and have street lights to see where I'm going. Just an easy run tonight to test the hamstring but would love to be doing it now.
