Erm, pacers as I said, I followed one, then after about 6 miles another 3.30 pacer passed me, then the two of them ran together, about mile 12, the first pacer pulled up and started walking, a few miles later a different pacer passed but holding his flag, don't know what time he was supposed to be.
Well a mixed bag of results, first of all well done to PPP, nice to see you've got rid of the "gremlins", RB as second claim SH running as well'ish as ever, I kept on passing this massive flag, bearing the name of Wilmslow. At the other end of the spectrum both Simon H and myself got GFA. Simon paced his race to perfection, just coming in under the 3.20. For my part, bit of a negative attitude due to the hamstring tear 31/2 weeks ago, I really wanted to pull out. Decided to do it and adopt a shuffle action, head down, take small steps and run behind the 3.30 man which I did up to mile 16, lost it a bit round the Isle of Dogs-aptly named, then pulled it together to finish 3.38, btw, did anyone meet under the "S" as I couldn't see anyone. Had a long massage courtesy of Children with Cancer, a few drinks, meal, then back to the hotel. The small steps seemed to work, my feet are a bit sore and I got a touch of cramp around mile 14 but i just took on fluids and had my gels every 5 miles
BB-good luck with the treatment, start off a bit slower than normal, I actually wore one of those tubi-grips to protect the hamstring as I thought wearing short lycra's might be a bit hot.
