Ran this last year, good course, and well organised,i didn't experience any problems,ie traffic etc..big climb after a couple of miles, which took my breath away..so caution early on for me this year...its quite a hill..hope to go under 1.30as have been training hard last couple of months...but you never know on the day...good luck to all..oh and last year there was a strange switch back at the end...you think your nraerly done, then your of again, for another 100 metres...weird but thats life.

Enjoyed the half marathon today, found it tough but it was very well organised with lots of encouragement along the way, last mile was hard as very tired but happy with 1.42...good workout...respect to the marathon runners..theres alot easier out there.

Well done to all,and thanks for good race...maybe next year...time fades the memories..lol.

Hi ,i had a ICD fitted Feb 2011, ( complete heart block) then due to infection ,had it removed and replaced on the other side of my chest in April this year,on Ramopril, and Beta Blockers, also Prednisolone(steroid).

This heart block came out of the blue...well i wasn't feeling right for a while, tired etc, still run 5-6 times a week-40 50 miles, never going to stop what i enjoy, and im set at 60 beats per minute...obviously a success story,Visit the Brompton for check ups.can't praise them enough...good luck all.

I never use to like the treadmill, but last couple of years have become quite a fan,it makes a change, also i can do some serious reps, and once a week push out a hard 15miler on it.I find myself in battles with the speed and testing myself on not slowing down etc...i guess its all about if you can concentrate and get in the zone,it also makes me appreciate my forest runs more aswell...horses for courses i guess.
