This a note to attract your attention to a new event for 2006 - The Accelerace Extreme Triathlon. The Details are:

- 2km Swim, 90km Bike and 20km Run
- 2nd September 2006
- Start 09.00 at Teignmouth, South Devon
- Finsh at the River Dart Country Park (with Tri Camp) on Dartmoor

The event website will be up and running at the end of January, when race entry will open as well.

After a 2km open water swim at teignmouth, the bike quickly hits the hills, moving away from the coast and towards Dartmoor. The climbs are unrelenting, with the wicked ascents matched by awesome descents. After cycling on to Dartmoor the run begins with a steep climb on to the open moor with spectacular views across south Devon and the Dart Valley. Competitors will wind their way down moorland tracks and along wooded riverside trails to the finish at The River Dart Country Park where the mansion provides the backdrop.

Competitors have the opportunity to stay here for the entire weekend if they wish. A bus service will transport them to the start, and all kit will be collected and returned to them at the finish. There will be the option to stay in a bunkroom at the mansion, chalet, a more luxurious ensuite room or set up base at our specific Tri Camp area. Prices for these packages will be announced on the website when it goes online at the end of January.

If you have any further questions please contact either rlovell@accelerace.co.uk or cgrundberg@accelerace.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you in September.

Good luck with training,

Team Accelerace

MACMILLAN CANCER RELIEF

In April 2006 next year I will be running the 150 mile Marathon des Sables in Morocco to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief, a cause that has greatly affected four members of my close family. To help spread the word we have also cycled from Lands End to John O Groats and back (1800 miles) in 5 and a half days, having been on the road 24 hours a day, and are due to run several other marathons in the near future.

Check out our website at www.justgiving.com/lovell-sahara and pass on the story.

Huge thanks to everyone,

Ross
