I would like to suggest an counter force strap for ITBS like the one i use, the pattstrap. It helps hold the IT Band close to the leg preventing the rubbing which causes the pain. Allows you to to continue to stretch and strengthen the leg without the pain. The PattStrap website has a video on it which is helpful as well.

Been a whle since i dropped in. sad to see you are still here poorly feet.

As far as the tape goes, the idea of it works great. It was exactly why i like the PSC Foot Strap so much. Although my PF pain is gone, i still wear my old PSC Foot Strap at least once a week to ensure the pain never comes back. The video on the site can explain how it works better then I can, all i know is tapeing wa working but i could not put it on myself.. but the PSC was easy to put on.

Have you looked into the Achilles Healer?

The Achilles Healer relieves pain and discomfort in the Achilles Tendon.

It works by encouraging faster heel rise. The Achilles Healer applies compression to the Achilles Tendon helping to reduce stress on the problem area. In addition, upward pressure is applied to the heel. The lift of the heel will reduce stress and pain of the Achilles tendon.

The duel functioning, lightweight devices made of ProWrap allows for adjustable compression.

Worn directly against skin and inside most footwear.

The Achilles Healer is washable; we recommended rinsing the device after each use and allowing it to air dry overnight to extend the life of the product.

The Achilles Healer provides immediate relief from pain.
