Merk, congrats on the sub 3. Similar thing at Abingdon clocking 2:59:32 and having my gf screaming at me to run the fastest 300mtrs I've ever run as I arrived on the track to finish. I just thought I'd add to the suspense!
Same here Jap, after spectating on Sunday it's given me the buzz to have a good go in London 2016. The only setback being my GFA has (I think) expired so looks like I'm going to have to run possibly at Halstead in 12 days aiming at sub 3:15 off the back of no long run build up! I did 16 in April but nothing over 13.1 in May, yet! This could be a very bad idea!
Congrats on the chip time result Lev and Stuart Leaney!
In awe of the threads London marathoners yesterday. Some absolutely amazing performances, PBs and targets made. Massive well done to all of you.
I was a spectator this year and managed to see a good few of you go through Narrow Street while checking your race numbers off the app and shouting encouragement like a lunatic as those numbers or familiar faces came into view. So much so, I've lost my voice! Got to say, there was a HUGE sub 3 train that came through with the Runners World pacers this year, a sight to behold indeed! Hope all those runners not on here hit their goal times too. A brilliant day out!
Popping in to wish all of you running on Sunday the very best. Race numbers noted and very loud cheers from myself will be off the decibel scale at around miles 14 and 21. Hope you all hit your targets. DBS.
Particularly looking forward to seeing a lot of gurning faces at mile 21 trying to stick with Spiderman!
