means it shows the realtive change in height not the exact height.. e.g. you can use it to see where the ups and downs are but can't say that the height at mile 20 is xxx M above sea level.
A picture says a thousand words so I'll let you draw your own conclusions from my HR/pace plot from Monday. As you can see the initial pace /HR was unsustainable and the ratio of walking to running steadily increased from mile 9 onwards. Click ont he image for a larger size on my flickr page.
The coloured bands are HR zones, black line is actual HR plot, blue line is pace plot and the grey background is the (relative not absoloute) altitude profle.
Liam. Nice to have met you (and Kosie, AB, Emer, Woody and Barry) in Kennedys and just to reiterate Shades' and other comments about hte marshalls, helpers and water giver outers. They all did an excellent job.... and Dubvlin wouldn't be Dublin without the friendly camraderie and banter that comes with it too.
Now my legs are feeling a little more like my own my retrospective enjoyment of the whole expereince is increasing all the time !!
Another week another airport...... (Frankfurt) but this time my flights on time and curerntly boarding so I don't think I'm speaking too soon. Really looking forwards to getting home and relaxing as life has been a bit of a whirlwind since crossing hte line on Monday.
