Debating wether to do this or not. Fantstic course for anyone who has yet to do it. I did it last year and came third despite having to stop for a pooh. Lovely cup of tea and 6 sugars at the end too. Problem is iv not been running since June and only started again on thursday (9th feb) so not sure if it would be suicidal.
Id reccomend this to any runner though. Nice bit of cross country thrown in! Ha.
Oh, another problem is transport. Im a student at Lincoln, got a lift with one of the Lincoln Wellington runners last year but havent been down to the club yet. Anyone else travelling from Lincoln who could be a star? |

Hi guys. Haven't been on here for ages. Congratulations to all racers yesterday and bad luck to those robbed of a race by public transport?!!?
Just started running again after quitting in June due to injury hell. Couldnt shake off the plantar fasciitis I had but it doesn't seem to be a problem now. I think its my vintage cowboy boots that did the trick! (-:
Been running about 30 - 40 minutes daily since thursday and feeling ok but not spectacular. Smoked about 200 ciggarettes during my time off like an idiot, just happened from going to gigs and stuff and at band practice. Very rock and roll! ha. Havent fancied one for a week or so though so hopefully they wont be a problem.
What: 40 mins easy
Why: Just trying to build fitness again before doing any of the crazy sessions i used to do. Getting back into the routine again.
Last Hard: Hmmmmm......May or June 2005 i think?
Last Rest: Wednesday/
Hopefully il be posting a decent time on the 2006 records thread in a couple of months.

I still try to keep fit so that if i do decide to go all out again, iv got some kind of base but its just not that simple, even if i did want to be better than i was before i couldnt because of persistent injuries, i really need to save some money and have proper treatment to find the source of the injury and clear it up. Had alot more time for my friends though, got to the point where they assumed me doing anything sociable with them was out of the question due to running.
Thanks you guys for the posts though, i thought you guys would have forgotten me, its nice to know that what i was doing had been noticed by other runners, really appreciate it.
Been trying to play use the spare hours i would have used on running, playing my guitar so there may be more Dylan lyricd to come.....'There's a crack upon the ce-eiling, and the kitchen sink its le-eaking, what are we living for, two bedroom apartment on the second floor....' |

I dont really run much any more and now it seems im more attractive. so many unfortunate injury problems have restricted me to about 3 runs a week and 70 units of alcohol rather than 70mpw and 3 units of alcohol. Strange isn't it.
Mama's in the factory, she aint got no shoes, daddy's in the ally, he's looking for food, and im in the kitchen with the tombstone blues! |
