Sorry but this marathon trainin malarcky is killing me. Am ready for bed but Mol having a restless one.
How are you Tweety???? My friend (we don't get to meet up much, kids all different ages) has a boy with AS and one with ADHD good combination. Its like Bazra in her house on a bad day. But as she says God made them special.... They both like a good routine in place. My friend who is a child minder had Jude who is an absolute joy. Really nice child.
Hell I love it when kids kick off!!! It gives me the opportunity to look daggers back at the ones looking daggers at me. As my Gp says half of the people looking at you have been there seen it and got the tee-shirt, and are looking on in sympathy remembering the days when..... the other half don't have a clue. Hold your head high girl you are a mother and kids were sent to try us.... that they do...... The day she asks you 'mummy whats a C**t??' on a really busy metro is the day you want to die!!!!! Tantrums are nothing.
conversation went like:
'Its a naughty word mol used by naughty people ooooo look is that a horse????'......
'but why is it naughty mummy and what is it???'
Oh it is a horse....... Oh theres a foal........ wow look more horses..... look at all the water in that field.... da da da dee dee dee.....
Would you like a treat in Newcastle when Mummy gets her New trainers.... maybe some chocolate.......
Ooo yes please Mummy.... CAn I run in the shop..????
Mummy sighs with relief!!!!

The ground didn't swallow me that time. I hope it does next time though!!!!
Ordered a tee shirt from sports direct was here t he day after so can't complain. Start fitness brilliant though! Would recommend them. Even though I live in Sunderland and they are in Newcastle!!!!! xxx
Just about to scrap mine. Blisters on toes I never had with Brooks. Gone and bought the Brooks Dyad 5's They are okay for runs of less than 5 miles anything over that and i have to strap my toes. They felt great in the shop. Ah well live and learn.
I run with my dog. She loves it. I Keep her on the lead unless I am on a long stretch with no traffic and I can see the trail ahead. HAve been bitten by a dog so i know how Sh*t scaring it can be. She is pretty good and if she sees people she comes back to be put on the lead. I keep her on a short lead passing people. Only problem i have had was a group of school kids one lunch time. She did have a go at one but to be fair he was about 14-15 and he jran in front of me thinking it was funny to try and stop me in my tracks. The dog thought he was going to attack me and warned him off. She didn't bite just beared her teeth . I gave him a mouthful of what the hell do you think you are doing etc..... She was under control on a short lead. HAd that been someone going to attack me I'd have felt reasured that she would have a go. I rang the school when i got home just to make sure that had he reported anything that they had the full story. They weren;t that interested really.
She runs with me and is quite happy to run past other people without even giving them a glance.
Annoying though it is. i tend to slow down or stop near dogs. I give them a wide birth on the lead. I normally shout excuse me from a distance so the owner has time to pull the dog over. Not all dogs are as well trained or have sensible owners. Even the most well trained dogs will spook at something that you think 'why?'
I would report the incident. And make sure that you keep the wound clean. Any sign of redness or tracking you may need anti-biotics. The owner will probably get a warning. But thats all the police do unless the dog really gets hold of you. I know from experience.
Got a similaris thing its a Nike one from Start Fitness for £7.99. Dunno what it does but hey it worked. Was told by the nurse i had stretched my patella tendon. The reason my knee not tracking properly. 2 weeks out... Managed cross country race Saturday and not a twinge.......... Eased genteleeeey back into marathon training.....
If in doubt if you can you defer????? I Was set to do a sub 2.30 GNR in 1999. Tore a calf muscle 2 weeks before. In hospital overnight as they thought it was a DVT my leg was so cold. I was gutted. Was told by the doctor you can try and run it and may not run again without lots of problems or you can sit this one out and run for the next 50 years. i sat it out. i cried. Ate chocolates and drank coke whilst watching it on TV. It took me nearly 10 years to break the 2.30 but i am running....
