Hi have just found this thread! I will be doing the 30 miler the weather doesn't look too bad - well its not due to rain or snow which is always a plus!
The first year I ran the guy i was with thought he was a plane which meant I had to hold his hand to prevent him trying to do loop the loops, he was 5 years old again, very funny!
Sorry to hear that you didn't finish the race but it was exceptional tough conditions this year on top of a tough race and once hypothermia sets in the body struggles to recover. Well done for getting to the start line, hat off to you. Next time I have no doubt you will finish
