Elnette, I don't appreciate you posting here as well as spamming the parkrun Facebook groups I administer. Newbury parkrun doesn't start until February, and yet you joined the group and advertised this talk which, to be frank, has the potential to actually alienate a lot of the people which parkrun is trying to attract (i.e. complete beginners for whom completing 5k is a challenge at the moment). This is why I immediately removed your post from the pages.
Most of us on here are well aware of Steve Edwards' achievements - which are actually reasonably impressive - but your marketing work leaves something to be desired. It's akin to the internet marketing spamming techniques of the early 2000s.
Good luck to you - but please use different techniques for advertising if you must post blatant posts like this.

Abingdon weekend might be a good idea, although I think I'd prefer the Friday night (14th). Or maybe we should just fit it around when Sparky can make it...!
