Aye phys1... I ran New York in 2005......saying that never met at the pre arranged forum meet at top of Empire State as I was there on time..and others were a wee bit late but met Maddy, Paul and Hanneke et al in London in Nov 2006......just prior to my injury....hey nae bad for someone who lives in Aberdeen.
sorry....wee bit boozy as I was at the game this afternoon and a few beers and nips afterwards....for the uninitiated....Aberdeen 4 Celtic 2...happy days
so many pages on this thread but I cannot really claim to be a contributor these days........so here is my annual contribution...lol
I think I was in touch this time last year and things were not so good...couldnt walk after major back surgery...well time has passed and I am well on the way to recovery....even ran 5 miles today....not bad considering my total milegae for 2007 and 2008 combined was 20 miles (less than my final run of 2006) So I am so happy that I am back....plan to do the Ben Nevis triathlon in september if my body holds up....its a toughie....1.9 km swim over Loch :Linne and back...over 90 k m tough mountainbiking and a wee run up to the top of Scotland (from sea level) and back down again.
Love to do another marathon soon.
Great to see the usual suspects keep the thread going...my next absence will not be so long
Cheers Paul...glad you are still pounding the miles.....I recall I suggested Stockholm for a June marathon....did you do it?
Not sure if I will do one again...would love to but at this stage i am unsure if I will ever run again to be honest...horrible thought...found it so hard seeing people running last year but getting more used to it...then again.......och I am sure I will be back!!!
However, I am obviously on the slippery slope...up at 1.30am and on here.....need to get a job soon!!!
