I am running the Flora London Marathon 2006 in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I have had Juvenile or Type 1 diabetes for the last 3 years meaning daily blood tests and a minimum of 4 insulin injections a day. In terms of running, it complicates matters in that you have to constantly be aware of your blood sugar levels and manage them effectively. JDRF carry out valuable research to attempt to discover the cause of Juvenile diabetes, which is as yet unknown, and ultimately to find a cure.
