Julia dont worry too much I stayed the same too! Although you tried alot harder than me this week. Sometimes it just happens like that, however don't forget muscle weighs more than fat!!

Toby well done - I intend to do a gentle 3 or 4 miles with my eldest son tonight (my 2nd run in a week, actually 2 and half years)

Good luck to everyone else - keep going!

Morning All, well that wasn't a good weekend for me! Girlfriends birthday so 1 night out with too much lager and 1 night with a rather large steak etc at home!! Didn't go for two long hilly walks though! Will weigh tomorrow, didn't think it would be a good result this morning  and I have the gym to look forward to this morning.

Toby 3 and indeed all others, I know I will have bad days so support as well as report suits me fine! It is undoubtedly going to be a long road for me.

Hi all!  I like the idea of this thread! I was 12 1/2 stone when I completed London in 2007, now 3 1/2 years and a divorce later I am 14 1/2 stone and heading for London in April 2011. I desperatetly need to lose those two stone or at least the roll around my waist!! Food isn't a problem for me I don't eat that much the problem is LAGER!!!! Hopefully I can stay injury free and start to lose as I build up my fitness again. I intend to weigh weekly on friday morning but accept as mucle builds actual weight may not be significant % body fat can be a better guide. Anyway Good luck to you all.

I did my first marathon in 2003 afetr not doing an awful lot before. The best thing I did was buy Hal Higdon's book "Marathon - The Ultimate Training Guide" read it from cover to cover and followed the training plan in it aimed at first timers.
