If you get orthotics from a Podiatrist, they will advise you. Most will probably advise using neutral running shoes. I have orthotics and use a mild support shoe (based on recommendation from my podiatrist) as I tend to overpronate more severely. Regarding bilsters I assume that you have tried putting runglide/vaseline on them which should reduce friction. Also you need socks that either wick away moisture well or are double layer (twin skin or 1000 mile). I use Running Bear socks often which have a wool content that helps wick away moisture. They are also relatively cheap (3 for £10) but are only available at Running Bear in Alderley Edge, Cheshire (though you can buy online).
Halo worked well for me, but my local Sainsburys and Tescos stopped stocking it for a while. Hence I have switched to Dettol laundry cleanser which just goes in the softener compartment along wit have normal detergent. Basically you just need something to kill the pesky bacteria that cause the smells in the first place, which is probably why napisan works as well.
Very comfortable shoes, responsive but the sole does wear down quickly. If you run on roads then this isn't too bad and I got 400 miles out of the 4 version. The sole does look improved on the 5 version but in reality it is no more hard wearing.
