I ran a half marathon yesterday, and at mile 10 started to get a pain in my claf, i carried on running, but this morning the calf is still hurting. I'm worried that it's going to ruin my marathon training. I'm scheduled to run 18 miles this weekend. Any advice greatly received!!!

Hi Guys. I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year, and kept up the training! I seem to have lost the motivation to go out in this cold weather, but plan to do a run tomorrow no matter what. I've also ordered one of those Garmin thingys so hopefully that will get me motivated again.

Zoe, don't worry you're not alone. I've been feeling the same. But after four years of trying and finally getting a place, I'm determined to do it. Think of how you'll feel as you cross the line. I'm sure it will have all been worth it.

TopSec - I used to be a country bumpkin, but am now an urban dweller. I go back there as often as possible though.
Just had a gym session, and will probably aching for tomorrow's run judging by how I feel at the moment |

I don't mind to sound negative. I'm actually really looking forward to it. I've been trying to get a place for the last 4 years, so I shall be making the most of it! I just got a bit phased by those super human types.
