In addition to my points raised about the Liverpool 10K organised by L1310K:
I've been injured with shin splints since January so couldn't do the Liverpool Half Marathon, however I was hoping for a good well organised race for everyone and especially as the route took it through part of the new Liverpool One and Echo Arena, but what happened again.......
..... the race turned out to be a SHAMBLES again.
All the leaders went the wrong way for over a minute because of inadequate marshalling, this was within the first mile.
When is this organisation going to learn how to organise a proper race for a proper city?
Had a pair of Triax +11 and come to think of it, they were very very bouncy to begin with and felt great but must admit they do tend to lose that freshness fairly quickley. I use the Triax +11 for longer runs and training but have Nike Zoom Elite +4 for races (lighter but less supportive). I was recommended Triax after gait analysis, they do have a thicker inside heel to correct over pronation.
Just put an order in for Triax +12 though so........
PS currently suffering from shin pain in bone, possibly stress fracture so may not be in the best position to recommend current trainers!!!! I'd upped my mileage and pace and run on roads and started to use the Nike Elite more for speed - which I think was a mistake because they don't offer much support. I bought the Triax +11 in March 08 and only started getting shin pain in Nov 08 when I increased training regime, so problems probably not to do with Triax.
So I think the Triax are good for over pronators- (although I'm almost confusing myself!!!!)
