So, I'm a year older, Polly the Puma is no more, trying to decide on a name for the new Fiesta...currently Florrie or FiFi I think (though I'm not that sure it's a girl!)...have been poorly...errrrm...we have a double kayak new to the house to go with my single one (it's like a Neilson holiday at ours now! Windsurfing, cycling, tennis, kayaking...)...haven't been running expect parkrun each week (and even then, there's been some walking in the three miles) but have been doing a lot of bird seed and fat ball filling as the birdies are going loopy for food and a lot of walking to the sea and along the Prom...and dealing with more cancer news in the family *sigh* I'm trying not to think about that too much though.
Well. I only worked two days this week, so I am home on a Thursday morning, which is very odd. It also means I get to go to my first "Felpham Beach Estate Ladies Lunch Club" luncheon I will reduced the average age somewhat.
Then this weekend, we welcome VIPV's (Very Important Pirate Visitors) which I am most excitipated about.
Have a lovely sunshine filled day all, it's beautiful down here this morning.
I used to go dancing in the late '80s/early '90s every Thursday night (indie night) and Friday night (acid house) at the hacienda in a pair of flares that were my dad's. He worse them to see The Doors on the IoW in 1970. They eventually fell apart...ahhh, happy memories. Funkin has started to wear his "fish jumper" again that he got in 1989. It's vile...Mousie, I'm sure he will model it for you if you are a Good Girl
I have a dress from my old life as a shop girl at Next...I think the season code is SS1994 (in the old days there was a season code on the care label). I love that dress - and when I was thinner a few years back I wore it all the time. I would say my regularly worn oldest item of clothing is a pair of jeans bought in the clearance at debenhams, John Richmond ones when they first started the designers at debenhams thing...they were £10.50 and I've worn them nearly every week since I got them in (I think) 1996. So they must be barely anything per wear now...
