Day 5 of Maffetone's two week no carb test, and must say I am finding it much easier than I ever expected. Quite often through the year I will give up refined sugar and sweets for a month but feel desire for chocolate pretty much everyday... I am still eating carbohydrates and fruit at those times
But by cutting out everything (as far as I am aware) I haven't felt any need or desire for any kind of sugar. Just got to make sure I have enough food around / prepared so that I am never hungry.
Could be a challenge over the weekend though. Especially as tomorrow will be spent watching the rugby at Twickenham. Going to be difficult to eat anything that isn't a burger and chips I fear!
Started the Maffetone two week test this week, day 4 of (almost) no carbohydrates, alongside some very low heart rate easy running, hoping it will teach me a few things, lose a few kilos, and set me up for a better, injury-free 2016.
