A quick question for anybody who has run it before -
Does anybody know if you are able to walk across the bridge to Staten Island on the morning to get to the start? I know you cannot any other day of the year, but can't work out if I can on the day. Have found a couple of very cheap airbnb places at the other end and a 40 minute walk sounds much more pleasurable to get to the start thn being up at 4:30 for a coach
2 weeks in now for me, no carbs except for a few beers. Managed a gentle 23km run yesterday after no breakfast other than a bulletproof coffee - couldn't quite believe that. Definitely eating a lot less now as well, and with very few cravings.
Have made some savoury fat bombs today that I found online. Effectively just butter blocks with bacon crumbs on them.
