Loads more posts to catch up on as usual. Glad to hear your 10 miler went well LG. Sounds like your being really sensible with your training and things are progressing well. I think you should go for a race before hand, I'm meant to be doing edinburgh half marathon on 10th april.

Everyone else seems to be doing great as well. I hate to let the side down....but after my 12 miles on sat I have had sore knees, even when i'm walking. I'm really gutted. I bought new trainers today, but the lady in the shop said that the way i run means that it is going to be really hard to run a marathon. I overpronate alot (gosh how many new words have i learnt since training for the marathon), even the shoes i got dont totally support my feet. It means I'm probs going to have to miss my LSR, which i have actually got used to looking forward to! I may have to spend a fortune (£250) to get an custom made insole for my trainer. All this will take time and well realisticly its not something I have. I'm quite sad, boo! Anyway rant over.

I've just went to get new trainers as i had a bit of knee pain after my lsr at the weekend. I'm training for edinburgh marathon. I was told i overpronate alot and the shoes that i got in the end are maybe not going to be enough to sort my problems, pretty gutted like as i'm really enjoying my training.

Think i'll be heading to a podiatrist as well.

When it gets tough on a long run I say to myself 'bring on the wall'

Taken from the tv show hole in the wall, haha! Bit of a personal joke with me and my friends, but it seems to work for me at the moment!

I'd like some new mantra's - so keep em coming folks.
