I'll be there! It is my local 10k and it is supporting OXSRAD, a local charity helping people with disabilities through sport & activity.
This will be my 3rd time running this one. There's plenty of space for running (it is mainly on the disused airfield) and it is virtually flat. I gather there's a free t-shirt this year too (we had fruit & cereal bars last time). Really good home made refreshments for afterwards. And a race for the kids as well so bring them along. It is always a nice friendly atmosphere there.
Hi Susieanna - I'd say it is a good choice for a first 10k race. Pretty flat and there was a buzz to the event last year. Lots of local club & unaffiliated runners will be there. Must have been over 200 runners last time, probably will be more this time. And you get a t shirt & medal for finishing. Might see you there?
Thanks for this - I have found The Bourne on a map and should be able to find it from there! I got a postcode for the centre from a web directory and this put it way out of the village. Hope to see you there if you are taking part MOAT.
