Last longish run today and starting to look forward to my first Loch Ness Marathon.
Interested in the comments regarding breakfast and post match refuelling but what about the obligatory Saturday night carb loading ? Are there many options or is the intention of turning up anywhere without having booked several days in advance an act of pure folly ?
Minnie - 9 hours running, that is impressive. Bullock this year ?
Eric - well ran. As well as your 10th place, Harriers took 2nd, 3rd and 4th overall and 3rd lady . I was satisfied with sub 1.34 for first race this year and the rubbish start to this year's training.
Thought Kwaka organised a great race. Obviously I know MWW and the canal like the back of my hand and the straightforward route meant there was no need for dozens of marshals but even so, what needed to be done was done well. Spacious race HQ, clear signage to the start, plenty of drinks stations and a quality goody bag. Only a startled horse threatened to briefly spoil the day. Near sell out this year and will probably fill up early next year.
I'll be on MWW tomorrow as runners logic dictates that I must reach 200 miles in January even though I realise that February has 3 days less than January, so comparing mileage of months of varying lengths is pointless.????
