I was a bit disappointed with my performance. Did not feel right from the start but still went off at 2:59 pace. It all started to fall apart at mile 11 and I was seriously contemplating my first ever DNF but I shuffled on.
When the 3:15 pacer came past me with 5 miles to go I gave up mentally, although I realised later he was well ahead ahead of schedule and a GFA was probably still attainable.
Ran / walked last 5 and I too stopped for a chat with Mike T ! Don't think I've felt so tired, so early in a race for years .
Now rethinking my strategy for Boston which was originally going to be a bit of a jolly / celebratory run.
