Received a letter from Barry yesterday which seemed to imply that carrying a change of clothing with you on the kayak would be necessary so you have something to change into when the run starts. I was considering just shorts and a cycle waterproof to stay dry during the kayak and stashing the waterproof in my camelback for the run...
Chip and watch time were the same! Took 4 minutes to cross the line - starting at the Sub 1:45 board. So many people were ahead of me and running 2:00 splits! (I ran 1:44:45!)
Whst is the point of having boards to line up near if people just ignore them and start where they like!!!! I agree with Tequila! Most annoying!
Guinevere - I also came off yesterday! Had an arguement with the road turning right into a T-junction that I have taken successfully almost every day for the last 18 months!! Took it a bit too fast, presume I hit the white line, lost the back wheel and skidded across the road on my helmet, forearm and shin! Ouch!!! Picked myself up quickly having checked nothing was broken (me & the bike) and cycled off - pride in tatters! The traffic queuing to turn out of the junction must have had a good laugh - especially the coach at the front!!!
