My cheque was cashed today and I bequeathed. So at least now I know it wasn't lost in the post. Don't think we can draw any conclusions about which bequeathers are in or out until December though. I'm trying to remain cool about it - there's always Paris.
When I said Worthing, I meant Finchley. And I agree with SiT - a 20 mile race just takes too much out of you to be sensible as part of marathon preparation unless you've got the self-discipline to treat it as a long run.
I did Worthing 20 last year and it isn't flat (certainly not by the fourth lap). I had intended to treat it as a training run but ended up racing it. Was then completely knackered afterwards and didn't really feel fully recovered until tapering the week before the marathon. I'm not sure I'd do another one this year because whatever you say beforehand it's hard to stop yourself racing in a race and racing 20 miles just takes too much out of you.
