No Pain no Gain !!
Posted: 13/06/06 09:47:18 18
A freind of mine has mentioned a strange occurance when he runs. He runs half marathon distance once every two weeks and several eight milers a week. He said in the last couple of weeks he has noticed his sweating has reduced greatly. Weird ! His performance is not altered and he has run for many years. Any suggestions on this one ?

I'll good advice guy's thanks. I hydrate pretty well. But can understand the frontal headache when dihydrated - hence the hangover !!!. I tend to go with the posture though. I tend to look down at the end of runs especially if it's a slog up a hill. Then comes the pain. I also feel strain around my shoulders so I will look into the posture thing. Thanks !

I've noticed that when I run long runs that if I start to up the speed I start to get a pressure at the back of my head. (Roughly where neck meets the head). It's not painful but a little worrying. I don't get it on runs of less than 10K's. Is there anyone who has similar, know what it is. I'm wondering whether it's sinus or something more serious.

I thought about the FL06 but after the advice from my Physio I think it's just a little too much. I probably will look to do The Great North Run 06 and then Maybe if I'm still enjoying running do the London in '07. It's my left hammy that the problem is as well. I got someone to run behind me and they say I run kind of lopp sided. I might go and get an analysis on my step. This could be the reason. One side works harder than the other!. Haven't ran since Thursday and have been partying all weekend so I can't wait to get out tonight. NOt sure which run to do though.

Watch your head on the desk !. Remember also you should do repetitions 6x. That should provide a bit of entertainment for your collegues. How often are you running and what's your history.
