Hi yea i am just starting out again after a long wait from recovery - am going to take it slow doing a walk run programme - I am v impatient so am going to have to be disciplined - I love having run and doing it but do struggle getting motivation esp now it is cold.
Previously I ran on a treadmill but am determined to start outside this time - I saw an interesting ear phone piece in RW mag the other month which may look into as normal earphones always fall out of my ears and this may make running longer easier - in the gym always had tv to watch etc.
Anyw advice on training tips and schedules for beginners would be gratefully received.
Hi I have recently injured my upper leg. It came on following to long and fast a run cf i normally do and then a swim. i think it is my quads. The pain is in the middle of my thigh as well as at the top near my hip. After a day of rest I tried running again and after a minute stopped as it was getting worse. It has now been about a week and still hurts alot getting up from a chair. I am just wondering how long this is likely to take as I would really like to start exercising again soon
Hi I am new on hear. I am wanting to lose at least a stone but maybe 1.5. Have started running again. Have just had exams where I did struggle to do exercise and ate quite a lot of choc so have gained weight.
Be gr8 to keep up progress with you all and gain some motivation.
Thank you broken bones for what you have said that sounds really sensible. As regards exams im trying not to worry too much about it till they are all over and am hoping that then as I will be able to be more active hopefully all will work itself out.
Thank you K9 for your concerns. The BMIs i have worked out are a little heavier but I hear what you say and do take them in. At the mo I have a rather large roll around the midriff which i would like to shove but hopefully the running and nce weather will sort it out.
