I haven't used this forum for many years and thought it might help motivate me. I've been running on and off for about 10 years now and really enjoy the mental benefits of just time to myself (if you know what I mean )
I'm fairly self disciplined as it is but it's always nice to chat to others and hear their progress with running. I've just had 7 weeks off due to hip pain which I'd never experienced before until Nov 14. Anyway I did a 3 miler last Friday at about 9:45 minutes per mile which is faster than I intended and my hips felt fine (I think).
I also mountain bike a lot and I've been out 4 times since my last run. Biking never causes me any problems.
I'm a bit cautious about over doing it on the running so thought 1-2 times a week to start with just to see if my hips will be ok.
Please come and say hi and pass on any advise if you have any for me or maybe I can help you. Either way its great to have like minded people to chat too.
Oh and no this isn't a new years resolution thing!
