I have a 3rd view.

I have cleared my list of chores today But failed to get out for a bike ride.

The dog is vaccinated.

Morning

Day off for me which means a day full of chores. Might even get the bike out and go for a spin later.

Shame you don't live closer, Daffs, you could have borrowed a crate to restrict the little cutey's movements.

Happy retirement, Sue. You've definitely earned it.

Evening

LOL Noggs.

Hopefully the physio will get you sorted, Pipps.

I am on day 1 of a fortnight of no running. let's see how long I last. It's easy enough when you've got DOMS but will I be climbing the walls by Friday? I'm sure my body will be grateful for a period of rest.

What are you going to cook us to christen the new oven, Sluggs?

I'm gonna give you the quick bit and then try and read back.

First 8 miles were perfect. Zipping along nicely thank you very much. Then it started to get just a little challenging but I still got to half way in a smidge under 2 hours.

Then challenging became more than a little testy as I adopted a run/walk strategy. The strategy disintegrated into walk/walk/walk/ trot a little/feel iffy/walk. Second half was 2:47

I finished and had a quick hug with a lovely TiT then lost vision and balance and sat down for a bit before hobbling of to the medical tent. I spent about 45 minutes waiting for my blood pressure to come back up to a reasonable level.

All in all, the mind was willing and the flesh was very weak; in fact it didn't bother turning up.
