Eyes are ok Chuggy, not sure what was causing the pain in the left eye. The cataract is now significant so will need to be dealt with. The one in my right eye isn't quite so bad. My six month appointment in theory is for next month but there's a backlog so will have to chase it up. if they can keep me legal to drive I'll be very happy.
I love Amsterdam Noggs Mr Tubs did the marathon there in 2003 and we've been back several times since prinzengracht and kaisergracht ( spelt wrong sorry Chuggy! ) are probably my favourite places. The Rjiks museum superb and we always visit Foam - photography. There are bikes everywhere and pancakes Well done on your Earth miles We moved to Little Mill, 4 miles from Usk after we left Bicester. It was before I learned to drive so used to cycle to Usk to work most days.
Roads closed again today, looking a bit overcast but hopefully they'll get the races in or they will be closed tomorrow as well. I appear to have been nominated for the ice bucket challenge currently doing the rounds on Facebook. We don't have a freezer, and our fridge drawers don't have an ice compartment so it will just be a cold, wet water challenge Having taught children with Duchennes muscular dystrophy at RDA, which is equally cruel, ( the disease, not my teaching! ) I'm making an exception in supporting something on the Facebook band wagon.
Glad you're feeling better Chuggy I'm so pleased for C3 And hope C1 thaws fast xx
how lovely for you to present Scott with his medal Westie
10k is seriously proper running Yums
FP you are one of the fittest, most active Waisters! You do more in a day than I manage in a month! And most of that is sitting on Megs which doesn't really count.
i would imagine the RAC etc would quite like call outs to camper vans Jenni as with its inbuilt catering facilities they can have a cuppa while they fix it I loved driving the horsebox we borrowed last week, so much easier than the Land Rover and trailer. I'm trying to convince Mr Tubs that we could camp in one too so definitely worth getting one. He's not convinced!
Glad the DG is looking forward to his dinner Blue has just pinched the cats food again. It makes him fart terribly And the cats are a bit miffed.
Is Murph now piebald Meldy? Fling absolutely loved the mud
We have sunshine And they've closed the roads. Racing sensibly cancelled yesterday so we're shut in today instead, and tomorrow. Had to cancel the vet today who was coming to do Porky's jab as we failed last week. She objected strongly, I'm quite good at shetland wrestling but she nearly knocked the vet flying, jumped on Mr Tubs foot and was getting thoroughly upset so we're going to sedate her to avoid the traumA as she's genuinely frightened. Megs has never seen anything quite like it!
Ouch Chuggy ((((( with lots of healing ~~~~~~~~~~~ ))))))
it is persisting down here as well. If you find your ark can we borrow it please DL?
Naturally they are still going to close the roads despite the forecast, the rain, in case the powers that be havent realised really is wet and the shiny stuff on the roads is water!!! There were complaints about the road conditions for racing on Saturday which was a much better day than this is so far! Hopefully they'll open the roads before 9 pm. Sigh.
Sorry Spence you can't sweep it under the carpet, we have got it in writing! You has nits!
Does anyone else remember the nit nurse at school?
Going for a lie down in a darkened room. I was tempted to lob several precious little monsters into the penguin pool. But I like the penguins. On the plus side just over £500 raised towards some milk for an orphaned rhino called Gjertie
