I think you need the drain hose as low as possible Podds - and several buckets! Hope the dogs are all ok now!
Love the FGO's onesie when I'm home I will get a pic of Bram in her zebra striped 3'9" fly rug!!
Thank you for special Waister hugs and vibes which really work We didn't encounter any relatives thank goodness, and mother was really pleased to see us which was a relief. Completely compos mentis and very positive. From what I can gather she has 5 cracked vertebrae - age related I think. She has a brace but finds it very uncomfortable and stood briefly for the first time in it today but was very dizzy, understandable after being in bed for seversl days. we chatted about ponies and cats mostly. I really don't think she's going to be able to go back home, she struggled to cope with the weight of a cup of tea so I don't think she's going to be able to put her back brace on, never mind getting herself out of bed etc. Shopping for nighties etc tomorrow and will hopefully be able to speak to a doctor. The ward is spotless and lovely helpful nurses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ calming vibe for OH and the moody teen
love the photos Pippi
booked on boat sparrows fart Thursday, back to the rock senior race day (12 June) Mother now on an orthopaedic ward, compos mentis but hard to get info on phone from staff. Bracing myself for visit on Thursday. Dreading encountering distant relatives who will no doubt let rip about why I've not been over for 16 yrs or so. I've decided that if that happens, and I'm sure it will, I will tell them exactly why. It probably looks as though I'm going because I'm after mums stuff, quite the opposite, the whole lot can go in a skip as far as I'm concerned. I just want to make sure that if she can't go back home she will at least be somewhere clean and comfortable with caring staff. Thereafter we're probably going to rent a cottage somewhere for a week or so and relax! Brace yourselves Waisters, Tubs may be coming to a town near you! Thank dog for Mr Tubs who is being brilliant. Despite trying several times, including wearing them as soon as I wake, the glasses aren't working. Vision isnt much improved, everything is tilted and I feel nauseous. Worth a try but bit of a b* gger I still can't drive. Probably best to get a sat nav when we're over as by the time I can read the signs we're already at the turn offs!
mother is in hospital, going to have to go to uk next week. There is no way I'm going in the house no matter what. TT starts in a week so it's going to fun trying to get off the island and even harder to get back until TT is over so will Prob have stay for a couple of weeks, pos have a break somewhere if we can get things sorted as I'm not sure if mother will be able to go back home.
