Good luck fella, will follow your progress with interest.  Do you have a Garmin? Or for that matter snow shoes?

Hi SS2, it won't be long before you can run with your friend I am sure. Keep at it!

Good choice of tune by the way, very motivational! Personnaly I find Safri Duo - Played-A-Live song very helpful towards the end of a run as it reminds me (a bit) of the drummers which often play on some of the road races I have entered. Stereo MC's - Step it up is a bit more conventional but also a regular on my running MP3 player. As I am sure you are aware that there are countless running compliations you can buy or download.

I wouldn't worry about the funny looks, I get these too.  Usually because I have put something on inside-out in the dark or because people are probably assuming I am in training for the London marathon and hence think out of my tree.

PS don't forget to vote in the Asic super 6 competion before Thursday (shamless plug, sorry)

Hi Simon, I have a six months old and a running buggy - Nipper Sport 360. Its a great buggy but more for a leisurely jog and a stroll then a proper run. Unless you run on a perfectly flat non-bumpy non-icy road. I find it is much easier to run with the buggy actually as you have support, it is good for running up the hills, as long as you have good break/wheel control on the buggy just in case you happen to fall over etc.
Thanks for the info. As you may remember from Birmingham a jog is often the best I can manage. Do you have a safety cord with yours? Just thinking incase my 6 month old starts sprinting off down the hill putting me to shame.
