Hi Grumpy

just after the FLM, I pulled my Soleus muscle (just behind the Gastroc and above the Achilles). I spent a few hundered quid on a Sports Injury Physio and doing stretches three times a day. Everytime I thought it was better, I would go for a little jog and it would seize-up agian after less than a mile!!

I put on loadsa weight and felt really down in the dumps. My GP gave me an MOT and said that my BP and Cholesterol were through the roof - a bit of a wake-up call!!

I'm up to two miles at the moment and my leg seems to be ok! It's a bit dis-heartening to think what I was doing this time two years ago!

Hare - I can't believe how well you are doing!! You should be really chuffed - I remember how good I felt. I had Jelly Babies in my bum-bag!! I might pop over to Hull - to watch!!!

Hi guys,

I recognise a few names here from 2005/6. Hope yeez are all well!

Don't ask where I've been - it's been a bad 18months. Two weeks ago I was back up to 17 stone....again! My cholesterol was 7.9 and the doc said I could have a heart attack at any time!

I've lost almost a stone since and went for my first run in 18 months last night. I remember how much help you guys were the first time and it was you guys who got me through the FLM 2006!!

.....so, I'm back for more help!!!

 Tubby x

I WAS!!! I can't believe how well I felt!

Someone must've put something in my coffee that morning!

The charity I ran for took some photo's at mile 24 - of the twenty folk running for them, they told me that I was the only one with a smile on my face!! It was the most satisfying thing I've done for a long time!

I hope your training goes well, whichever year you plan to do it!

Miss B joining me???

Well, she said "Maybe!!"

She probably had a more stressful time watching everyone and waiting for me to run past! She's got photographs of loads o' runners - she had my camera poised, ready to snap me as i ran past - but at the very moment she saw me she got too emotional and forgot to take a photo!

So I've got photo's of 30,000 runners - not one of them is of me!! LOL!
