Well, I've entered anyway...as its 2 laps I can always pull out if necessary after the first lap!

Hi all......can I ask some advice?

I am currently following the RW Basic 16wk "get you round" marathon training schedule which shows at the end of week 8 either a 2 hr jog or a half marathon race which coincides with this race but I am a bit wary as I have only done 3miles jogging so far plus the weekend "rambles".

Should I really up the mileage that much? Don't want to eanter and feel deflated if I can't make it round!

Any ideas/advice would be gratefully received!

Did this last year (my first race) and am hoping to improve my time this year. Didn't much like the uphill start and remember thinking someone must have pinched the 4 mile marker!!

My partner is doing it too this year and it will be his first race.

Just straying slightly from the age thing:0

At GNR we went over a timing mat at 10 miles - can anyone tell me how i can find out what that time was?

(Am really hoping that it was half decent and it was the last 3 miles that let me down!)

Thanks

p.s Back on track - i'm under 30 too!
